A disturbing video has emerged from Mahubabad in Telangana, depicting a confrontation between two women over bags of urea. This altercation took place outside the Agros Rythu Seva Kendra at the Vivekananda center. The footage has drawn the attention of Telangana's Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy. In the clip, the women are seen grappling with each other, pulling hair and throwing punches in the middle of the street, while onlookers cheered instead of intervening.
What Led to the Clash?
The brawl broke out as farmers lined up with photocopies of their Aadhaar cards to collect fertilizer. The situation quickly escalated from jostling to a physical fight, and the video soon went viral across social media platforms.
CM Reddy's Response
In response to the viral video, CM Revanth Reddy commented on the availability of urea stocks, noting that even a simple queue can appear daunting, leading to confusion. He likened the situation to a popular movie where everyone wants a ticket, but the line seems never-ending. Reddy expressed that long wait times can lead to frustration, stating, 'With 1,000 people in line, the last person may wait up to 8 hours. This can cause impatience and claims of urea shortages, leading to protests.'
Further Incidents
In a separate incident from the same district, another video showed farmers crowding around an agro center owner who was distributing tokens for urea on September 6. The footage captured the chaos as farmers rushed to grab tokens, prompting the owner to throw them into the crowd to escape the overwhelming situation.
